GCL (Geosynthetic Clay Liner) is a type of geosynthetic material used in geotechnical engineering applications. This material is created by combining natural clay mineral with geotextile properties and is used to create a water-impermeable barrier. GCL (geosynthetic clay liners) are geosynthetic clay liners containing sodium bentonite encapsulated between two geotextile layers. In combination with increased internal shear strength, it is suitable for waterproofing even on steep slopes.
